Why can't I select text after compressing?+

To reach small sizes, each page is turned into an image and compressed. That's perfect for uploading to forms, but the text is no longer selectable. Keep your original PDF too.

My PDF is password protected+

Remove the password first (open it and save or print it as a new PDF), then compress the new file.

Is my PDF uploaded?+

No. The PDF is read and rebuilt inside your browser. It never leaves your device.
